We're having a naming ceremony for Connor on 1 June 2003.
Neither Sharon nor I are particularly religious so we couldn't go with a christening but we still wanted to have the opportunity to gather a family and friends together and show of our little darling.
Tonight's task was to write a list of everyone I wanted to invite. That's a toughie. I have family that I know won't be able to come, do I still invite them? My Gran is getting on a bit and it probably wouldn't be a good idea for her to come, do I still invite her? I have several groups of friends that I hang out with, but only some of them are good enough friends for me to invite, how do I invite them without upsetting the rest?
I also have the memory of a goldfish..... so I'm paranoid about leaving out somebody obvious.
Maybe an announcement to those you can't invite? I'm not sure what a naming ceremony is, but a tasteful annoucement sounds like something that would work, possibly with a picture of the little darling :-)
