The rise and fall....

And suddenly I don't even appear in the results at all.

I thought part of the ethos behind Google was supposed to be consistency to its results. Ho-hum.

Hi

How did your Ibiza holiday go?

As far as Google goes I don't think you're alone, there. I've seen no one arrive from Google search engines in some 48 hours. And that after having previously had up to 150 a day from Google.com alone.

This article suggests that a search engine just for blogs may appear:

Who knows whether Google have pulled the plug?

Hi Aardvark

Seems as if things might just be going the direction of separate Search Engines ...etc for (We)blogs.

Yahoo now has its own Weblogs directory at:

http://dir.yahoo.com/Computers_and_Internet/Internet/World_Wide_Web/Weblogs/

Could this be the writing on the wall for blogs in the main Search Engines?

I've thought for a while that the prevelance of weblogs, with their high text content and profuse inter-linking, was going to present a problem for search engines.

How do you index and rank "actual content" websites without including weblogs. Do you even distinguish between them?
