The unfortunate side effect of having a lot to say is that, unless you have the time to say it, you tend to say very little. So, in order to say at least something;
It seems that I have returned from my very first "family" holiday relatively unharmed. This is the first time that Sharon, the kids and I have holidayed together (although Chloe travelled separately and has stayed longer) and I must admit I wasn't looking forward to it.
Much to my delight, I was nowhere near as stressful as I had expected. Indeed, despite the mini-tsunami caused by the Algerian earthquake, I had a superb, relaxing time. Despite Sharon and my intentions of getting out of the hotel and visiting most of the sites, we did spend most of the time chilling by the pool and sampling the all-inclusive bar, although the beer was so week it was almost impossible to get too pissed.
We arrived in the middle of a minor heat wave with temperatures in the 30s every day. James and Connor were both very well behaved and Chloe kept herself entertained.
I have returned browner than I was when I left, although it took regular applications of Factor 40 to keep me from burning.
We even managed a night off from the kids to go over to San-Antonio to check out Es Paradis.
