"I've found a nice, cheap bath suite" she said.
"It's only £195" she said.
"Pete says he fitted his in a day" she said.
"He says he'll come over on Saturday and help you" she said.
"And I'll buy some cork tiles for the floor so you can lay those on Sunday" she said.
As of 5pm Sunday, we'd replaced the bath and just about fitted the sink. Thank god we decided not to strip the toilet out until after we'd finished the rest otherwise we'd be toilet-less right now.
Still to do:
Replace tiles at the end of the bath.
Tile space left by old sink.
Re-size the bath panel.
Buy and fit new shower screen.
Check fit of old waste pipe on new toilet.
Check whether need to build box to space out the cistern from wall.
Build box or panel to cover untiled space behind old toilet.
Fit new toilet.
Tile floor.
This is why I don't do DIY. It'll take a day my arse. And because I hate doing it, I've been in a foul mood all weekend. Impossible to live with. I've been biting peoples heads of for no reason. Sharon & I had our first full on, shouting & screaming row for nearly 11 months.
"Next time I nag you to do some DIY, remind me that it's easier to get a man in to do it" she said.
