I do the vast majority of my radio listening in the car, to and from work. For this reason I tend to listen mainly during the hours of 7.30 to 8.30 in the morning and an hour between 5.00 and 6.30 in the evening.
Most of my current affairs knowledge these days comes from the excellent Today Programme in the mornings.
But why oh why are the best programmes on the radio broadcast at 6.30pm on a weekday? I rarely get chance to catch Just a Minute, The News Quiz or In Conversation With.... because I've usually just got home. There's absolutely no point trying to listen to any of them at home with screaming kids, a blaring TV and far, far too much to do.
Those of you who have a little more private time may wish to catch some of these on the BBC's online Radio Player.
