It's been a bit quiet here and there's a very good reason for it. Quite aside from 40 hours without electrical power. All of my spare time at home is currently being soaked up by a Windows XP install (re-install, re-install, curse, re-install).
Dive into Mark has a very good guide to what I would be going though if I knew what I was doing. Unfortunately, I don't know what I'm doing. I've also lost (read: Sharon tidied away and can't locate) all of the manuals and installation discs for my hardware and software.
After 3 days I have achieved:
1) Old data on 40Gb drive saved onto friends hard drive.
2) 40Gb drive formatted.
3) Windows XP installed.
4) Cable Modem installed giving Internet access.
5) Norton Utilities installed giving firewall and anti-virus protection.
