I've been plagiarised! Not just quoted or used as a source of information but outright ripped off, word for word.
Checkout the newsletter I wrote for our client's at the beginning of October, particularly these 3 articles.
Now check out the "Latest News" section of the website for VATconsultingUK at http://www.vatconsulting.co.uk/news.htm. (You'll have to type it in because I refuse to boost his search engine rankings by linking him.)
I've never been plagiarised before. It's almost a compliment but, at the same time, bloody annoying. I mean, even if he'd just give us some credit and a link it wouldn't have been so bad.
So Mr Levine has a slightly snotty letter coming to him soon. Ha! Feel my wrath! Cower before the strongly worded chastisement!
Update: It appears that the website content was created by the designers and that Mr Levine and his employers had no idea that any of it was plagiarised. I had a phone call this morning in which he apologised and said that he was taking it up with the website design company. Under those circumstance I guess he's been ripped off as much as we have, he actually paid for original content and was sold stolen goods.
I know the feeling. Earlier this week, I was word-for-word quoted by another blog without him stating the source though with the oddest of links thru to my blog. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. In the end, I've settled for a wry smile with one eye closed.
