Don't Panic

I remember the days of text-only adventures. In fact, I remember the days of RPG decision based adventure books, but text-only adventures were even better. Hell, I seem to recall I even wrote one using one of the game creation engines that did the rounds.

I played loads of them, especially on my ZX Spectrum.

I was also a great fan of the late Douglas Adams' books.

douglasadams.com has a java version of the text-only adventure The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Wicked!
