The scores on the doors

This weekend I've been working on the new version of the VATease website. So far I've only got the front page done. Let me know what you think.

I know there are problems with how it looks in non-IE browsers, but it shouldn't be too broke.

Looks good to me! Nicely done.

Looks fine to me. Nice to see you stuck to HTML 4 which is what works best in current Search Engines for their ranking purposes. Still a little too early for XHTML 1.

Perhaps some of the centring ideas of things need to be placed in your CSS file as opposed to the HTML file. This would mean they would not show up as errors on the W3C Validation service.

One final point.

You've got:

REPLACE IT WITH

which is what HTML 4 validators expect.

Cheers for the comments guys.

The section that currently includes a tag is only a mock up of what will be a feed in from a VAT blog, so the tag will disappear anyway once I get proper CSS rules set up.

I also take on board your comments about the tag (which I can see in the master copy of your comment but aren't replicated above as I've turned HTML off to thwart comment spammers) and will change that during my next edit.
