There are 2 things I hate buying, and I don't use the word hate lightly:
1) Shoes - Don't ask me why, I have no idea. I could clothes shop all day, longer if I actually had enough money to buy any. But shoes, shoes I just can't stand buying and for some reason I loathe spending money on them. Generally I'll zip into town, try on the anything that looks half decent and doesn't cost much then buy the first pair that fit my slightly uneven extremely thin feet.
2) Second hand cars - I've only ever bought one new car in my life and that was a breeze (although I lost a shit load in depreciation). Used cars are a different matter. There are so many things that can be wrong with a used car and they cost so much. At the moment I need to replace my car. It's like an incontinent mule at the moment, pissing black oil over anywhere I park it. We need a big family car and we've only got about £3,000 to spend. That's a lot of money to me but you don't seem to get much car for it. All the ones we've seen are pretty much knackered in their own right. I'd just like to be able to buy something that I can be confident isn't going to fall apart in a couple of months.
