At night we have visitors. Strange alien creatures take over our kitchen whilst the lights are out.
The creatures are so alien and unexpected that I've been into the kitchen, made a cup of tea and left without noticing the 10 - 15 of them crawling across the floor.
Slugs. Light brown, slimy disgusting slugs.
Last weekend I removed 15 of them from the kitchen. Last night another 12.
I can't see where they're coming in from or where they're hiding during the day. I guess to truly solve the problem we would have to rip out and refit the kitchen but we can't afford to do that unfortunately.
In the meantime, I'm off down the supermarket for some table salt.
We've been dealing with ants in our kitchen. Which, is no comparison to slugs. So I can kind of sympathize, but not really.
