Snatched from the mouth of greatness...

Head Wide Open has a less than fashionable view of the passing of Yasser Arafat.

My own view, based on what little I know of his life, is that he was a once great man who missed his opportunity and slipped from greatness. there is no doubt that, should the Palestinians acheive there own State, his actions will have been instrumental in acheiving that goal. but they will also have been instrumental in delaying that acheivement by some time.
