It's been a busy old week, all in all.
On Sunday night I DJed at a staff party for The Entertainment Agency's biggest client (for free). I really didn't want to as I'd got work the next day but there was no one else to do it. To cap it off, I was starting to come down with the flu/cold that Sharon & Connor had got.
On Monday I had a meeting with a client and officers of HM Customs & Excise about the client's VAT returns. I'd dosed myself up with flu medicine and just about got through it. I then had to spend Monday night preparing for a pub quiz I was running for The Entertainment Agency's newest client on Tuesday. To make things worse, Sharon's come down with Bronchitis so I'm also looking after her, the kids and the house work.
On Tuesday I had to take the afternoon off work to go and have the second of my two scans recommended by Doctor Mengel (the first scan, the one on my nads, was done in December and didn't really show anything). Apparently my liver is showing "fatty deposits" which could be the result of eating too much fatty food and / or drinking too much. Still feeling like I was dieing from the Flu, I ran the pub quiz in the evening. I've never run a quiz before and I thought it went quite well except it over ran and I didn't get home until gone midnight.
I spent the whole of Wednesday night writing questions for a music knowledge quiz ready for the Thursday night. Have you ever tried to write a pub quiz from scratch? It's not easy I can tell you. Again, it was gone midnight by the time I got to bed.
On Thursday day I spent the whole day with a client at the VAT & Duties Tribunals assisting our barrister representing the client. From there I came straight home, sorted the kids out and went straight out to run the music knowledge quiz.
Today's going to be no less busy this evening. The Entertainment Agency has just received nearly £8,000 from clients for DJs supplied over December and I've got to sort that out and pay it to the artistes.
At some point during the next week I've got to fill in and submit my tax return too.
