funhaler.jpgJames has mild asthma. It causes him to have coughing fits during the night keeping him and us awake (us more than him to be honest).
So he has an inhaler he has to take each night before he goes to bed. As with all children his age he takes it through a volumiser, a large container that dilutes the product. With each squirt he has to take 10 clear breaths from the volumiser. As you can imagine, as with most 5 year olds, sometimes he can be a little difficult about this.

The Funhaler makes this task a fun activity for the child. With a whistle (the website has an annoying sound effect that you can't turn off) and a "toyball" they encourage the child to take full proper breaths.

If only I could find out where to buy one.

I don't think it's available yet, but I'll keep an eye out in stores here. I saw it just received approval from the FDA here. If I find one, I'll let you know. Maybe I could ship it over to you.

Oh, and I think all you have to do is hit esc to get rid of that annoying noise on their website.

That'd be superb if you see one. I've been looking for a website that retails them but can't find one. I guess it's still a little early.
