Sharon should be going in for a laparoscopy this afternoon to determine whether she has a cyst on her ovary.
She was first told this could be a possibility back in July last year. It took several months to get an ultrasound done that showed "something" the GP told her was a cyst. Another month or 2 passed before she saw a specialist. The specialist told her it could be a cyst but there was no way of knowing what it was without carrying out a laparoscopy.
We've just rung the hospital and they say they may not have a bed for her. The operation has already been cancelled twice. In January Sharon had Bronchitis and they were unable to operate on her and last month the surgeon had to take time off work due to a bereavement. Sharon's nervous and stressed as it is. I seriously hope they fit her in today.
