Wow. The Game really seems to be building up momentum now.
On top of the Wikipedia entry, it's now got an entry in RSCI, The Science Classification Index (although this may just be a Wikipedia mirror) and at viral-meme.info.
I'm not sure about the "half hour grace period" though as this destroys the cascade affect when one person announces to the room "I lost!". All players within earshot immediately have to stand up and announce their loss to thus starting a chain reaction that could run through entire buildings, towns or, imagine it, a large festival crowd.
Of course, all of these are bastard offspring of the original "The Game". kef kef kef.com has it right. The whole point of, and the beauty of, The Game is its pure simplicity. It only has 2 rules. 1) Don't think about the game. 2) If you think about The Game you must announce it to the World. The announcement might change from player to player but that's hardly important. To add any additional rules ruins and weakens the Game's attraction.
