After about 18 months the 50 mph speed restriction on the M42 between Junction 5 and Junction 7 has finally been lifted, even though the roadworks finished about 6 months ago.
On today's journey home a good 75% of the drivers were still driving at 55mph as though the restriction was still in place. I too found it difficult to drive much above 50mph without feeling like I was about to see the distinctive double flash as a speed camera is set off. Cruising at my normal 75mph was distinctly uncomfortable.
Incidentally, I'm extremely busy at the moment so may not be posting for a short while.
