I think the time has come to remove the BlogSnob adverts that have been featured on this site almost since I started blogging.
For the last few months the system doesn't seem to have been working. Where as the adverts should be for other blogs with occasional commercial adverts they have shown nothing but links to Pheedo itself for the last few months. All of the other blogs that I've seen with BlogSnob ads are displaying the same Pheedo ads too. As far as I can tell I haven't been receiving the reciprocal advert displays that are due under the terms of the scheme (my "Exchange Credits" have remained on 110 and advert stats don't appear to have changed at all), which would suggest the whole system has stopped rather than an error with just my site.
Adam Kalsey, CTO of Pheedo left a comment here a few weeks ago and I emailed him in response to that with a few questions about RSS feeds and about the BlogSnob ads. Unfortunately I've received no response. I completed the contact form on Pheedo's site too. No response.
So I'll be removing the ads and I don't think I'll be signing up for the RSS feeds either.
And here I was thinking that I had implemented the code incorrectly!! I havent had a single ad change.
Im thinking about removing mine too.
