Bonfire of the Insanities is a new blog written by a psychiatric nurse in Australia. I've known a couple of psychiatric nurses and there seems to be only two types.
1) They're either crusading do gooders who honestly believe that every case is curable if only the right treatment can be found. They tirelessly work against poor funding, poor resources and hopeless cases. If and when I lose my marbles I hope to be treated by someone like this. Unfortunately the system often breaks them and they quit disillusioned.
2) Normal folk who are only prevented from going mad themselves through the development of a "Trench Humour".
Bonfire of the Insanities is certainly in the latter category. Funny but mildly disturbing. Definitely not recommended reading for social worker types.
