Motorcycle Helmets with a Rearview Mirror

Bikers will tell you, one of the worst aspects of riding a motorcycle (after the cold, slippery roads, terminally stupid car drivers and the fact that the national speed limit is approximately 1/3 of your bike's top speed) is the poor visibility. It's an irony that although you have less machine around you, you have to work harder to see what's to your side and immediately behind you.

Reevu has constructed a motorbike helmet with a mirror system built into it that creates a rearview mirror effect right at the top of your visor. How stunning is this?

Apparently it's been an open secret in the motorbike world for years but I'd never heard of it. I might be tempted myself when they get a full release in the UK but I bet the price is going to be extortionate.

MCN had a write-up about this helmet a year or so ago. It seems a no-brainer of an idea to anyone who doesn't ride but i've always found it a bit of a strange one. The road-tester raved about it though, after he got used to it. Don't think the price was going to be stupid either. My big concerns would be weight and wind-noise.

This helmet is awesome very cool indeed, no turning around just look forwad and hey presto it behindddd you.
