The M42 is currently a nightmare. The new speed cameras and Active Traffic Management System seem to ruffling a few feathers if the comments on this entry are anything to go by.
It's made even worse by morons who don't understand the basics of motorway driving. How Motorways Work has a run down of most of the offenders. However, morons hogging the middle lane seem to attract more ire than most. These people need to learn basic driving skills.
I HATE middle lane hoggers. They seem incapable of taking a hint. You come up behind them in the inside (ie correct) lane. You pull out and sit behind them to give them a chance to pull over. They don't so you go into the outside lane to overtake, then make a big thing about swinging back in front of them across three lanes to continue your journey in the inside (ie correct) lane. A glance in the rear view mirror will reveal them still sitting in the middle of the road with a nother car going past them in the same manner.
Thick as shit the lot of them.
I dont see what's the big deal here. Just blast your horn and/or flash headlights and pass them on whichever side
I hear a story that the digital tracking system goes live on 1st April on the M42 between jctns 2 and 7. As the rumour suggests the date is on 1st April, not too sure of the authenticity. No flashing, 2mph tolerance - sounds fun - not. But then we all keep to the suggested speeds don't we?
