If Orange's insurance isn't going to pay out and I'm forced to cough up for a new phone, I see little point in shelling out £300 for another SPV M2000. I might as well pay the penalty for upgrading early and get something different. Something like the Orange SPV M5000.
With an open and swivel screen and a full qwerty keyboard, it looks even more practical for PDA uses than the excellent SPV M2000 is.
Most of the reviews that I've read are generally full of praise for the new handset marking it down only on its portly figure (an issue that has never bothered me in phones) and the clunky software (although its improved over the M200 so I'm happy).
The M5000's 3G capability should make the internet connection a genuinely useful feature rather than a pub bragging gimmick.
Now I just need to find £300 odd pounds.
