Install Apple's Quicktime without iTunes

Have you tried installing Apple's Quicktime movie player recently? The download page that you are directed to forces you to download iTunes at the same time.

Now, I like iTunes. I use iTunes. I have iTunes installed on 2 out of my 4 PCs. But I have a pathological aversion to being forced to download it this way. Despite lengthy searches of Apple's website it wasn't obvious whether you could download Quicktime without iTunes.

If this is what you are looking for then you need the Quicktime standalone download page.

I know what you mean, iTunes now needs QuickTime so I think they thought by sticking both products togeather it would be a less confusing download :\

Yes its stupid, but worse than that, I HAD quicktime plus which I paid for but when I updated itunes it removed quicktimeplus and installed the normal quicktime player, then told me I would have to pay again to get plus back ffs.
