I've just downloaded the Performancing extension for Firefox. As the site says, it's "a full featured blog editor that sits right within Firefox".
It has "Rich Text" editing (automatic insertion of HMTL code for formatting), the ability to save draft posts and automatic insertion of Technorati tags. This may join Spellbound as one of my essential Firefox extensions. In fact, just about the only problem I can see with it is that Spellbound won't spell check text within the Performancing text editor.

Hey, actually if you google for the latest 'development' verion of spellbound, the inline spellchecking does work in PFF :)
