Firefox gets fat and lazy

See. I told you. Firefox 1.5.0.1 just goes nuts. I don't think it handles big web pages or documents very well. I can't find any advice online about how to deal with it either.

Here it's using 50% of my processor power and a good proportion of my memory.

When you observed this problem, how many tabs did you have open? Had you navigated to many large pages? How long had it been since you launched Firefox?

Thank you for comment.

As I recall, I had 2 instances of Firefox open, each with 30 or 4 tabs. One version had just opened a blog page that was very badly formatted and written. The webpage had a huge files size. Firefox slowed down and became unusable. It also slowed the whole PC down.

I suggest you use the profile manager and create a new profile. Basicly your starting from scratch and you have no extensions loaded.
