Video for Google Ads

Google has just launched click-to-play video ads on the Adwords / Adsense programmes. Instead of just text or image adverts all businesses using the Google Adwords programme will be able to create video adverts and have them shown on other sites.

Video advertising has traditionally only been available to businesses with large advertising budgets. Even local television channels, probably the cheapest outlet for video adverts, are way beyond the reach of small businesses. Google believes that this brings video adverts within the reach of small businesses.

This will create a need for these businesses to be able to create video adverts for a reasonable price.

With this in mind Fidget Video Productions is launching a new product aimed specifically at creating video adverts for Google adwords within a budget that most businesses will be able to afford.

Prices range from just £150 for a montage of still images up to 20 seconds long through to custom video productions up to Google's maximum permitted advert length of 2 minutes charged by the day for filming and editing. All adverts include backing music either from Fidget Video Productions' pre-prepared catalogue or, for an additional cost, custom made for the client.

At the moment Google is offering video adverts only within US, Canada and Japan but plan to extend to other regions soon including, one presumes, Europe and the UK.

For those interested in placing or publishing adverts, Google has released further information in a recent Adsense blog post.
