I'm not sure what I've done. Maybe I mistreated too many ZX Spectrums as a youngster. Maybe I discarded old digital watches too readily. Whatever my past sins toward silicon, I appear to be reaping serious negative digital karma.
3 weeks ago, my brand new Toshiba external hard drive, bought to keep my business records on, broke down at a time when I'd been too busy to take a back up for 3 weeks and didn't really have the time to rebuild the records.
Last night, choosing a time when I've not yet set up the replacement external hard drive, my laptop packed up taking all my business records with it.
F**king, f00k, b0110cks, fcok!!!
If you'll excuse me, I'm off to my garage to sacrifice a pizza and caffeine drink to the I.T God in the hope that he'll smile favourably on my attempts to transplant the business records from the laptop to a living host.
