I received an email today that was addressed to me and cc'd to Sharon.
On 09/08/06, Elenawrote: Dear friend, I found ayour picature on one of the websites, can we talk to each other? I mibght be coming to your place in few weeks. This would be a great opportunity to meet each other. Btw, I am a woman. I ama 25a. Drop me a line at pkc@summerdayzz.com
Yes. I know it's spam. But I was curious as to how it should be addressed to both Sharon and me. More so because there's no obvious benefit to the spam.
A quick search turned up this version also:
Dear friend, I found your picture on one of the waebbsites, caan we talk to each other? I mibght be coming to your place in few weeks. This would be a great opportunity to meet each other. Btw, I am a woman. I am 25. Drop me a line at httr@mailforfreedom.com
Both version obviously contain random, generated spelling mistakes mostly consisting of the incorrect insertion of additional "a"s. Again, however no obvious benefit.
I thought maybe it was a way to harvest live email addresses for spam, but the "reply to" addresses and the addresses quoted in the emails don't seem right for that.
I'm confused.com!
