And why? Because the sight has been all but abandoned by its owners and left to the ravages of spam bots that fill the ring application forms with crap continuously day and night.
The members queue for BlogPhiles filled with so much spam over December that the listing program couldn't display all the applications. It has taken me nearly 2 months to clear the queue.
The "support forum" is non-existent and the contact form goes unanswered. Since the site got taken over it seems to be all about the adsense revenue it can generate from the poorly contextualised, badly formatted ads that have taken over the site layout.
And the worst bit? I have a webring with nearly 700 members so I am completely tied in. I have no choice. I simply cannot change.

Are you in contact with other ring hosts about ringsurf?
Do you know who owns it now and whether there is any support?
(Can I do anything to stop the effing spammers who are taking up my time maintaining the ring???)
Would you consider moving to, say, Webring?
Do you know if there is a forum where ring hosts are discussing this?
Questions, questions, questions. I guess I'm just looking to vent to someone who actually understands what a giant pain in the bum ringsurf is.
